This piece was written as one of seven blessings for the wedding of a close friend and collaborator, Eliza Bagg. I knew that Eliza and her father had spent many hours playing Mozart duets for violin and viola when she was a kid, so I took a small snippet melody from K. 423 and spun it into a three minute piece for the two of them to play together. The piece is joyful and light, and has become one of my favorite encores to perform with Eliza when we tour together.
